Story

Onward, my Governors-in-assessment, to your next task.

I have had a city especially started for your next assignment. The Governor who built this city does not need to be Imperially Assessed as I am perfectly familiar with his city building skills. Let’s just say that as a Governor he makes an excellent Checkers player, and it shows in his city.

For the first time in his career, he has built exactly the city I wanted. One that you might say has a crisis or two on its hands. Your job is to overcome these problems and build a city of as large a population as you can achieve, and all in just a few short months.

I will be checking your progress at the end of next year!

Rules

Completion Criteria:
Save game in December 3 (last month of countdown) or earlier.

No gifts to Caesar allowed. Hard Difficulty Only- City must not be in debt at final save.

Winning Criteria:
Population (highest wins).

Normal Ancient Maps rules apply to this contest. Refer to the Imperial Assessment thread in the Ancient Maps forum for any additional rules and conditions specific to The Imperial Assessment.

Designer's Notes

This mission has a running time of 18 months only.

Because you are taking over the city of another Governor, you inherit your predecessor’s financial position, Imperial standing and also his standing in the eyes of the city’s citizens.

A number of Imperial requests are shown in the request window. Although these may be sent if desired, there is little to be gained from doing so.

Checkers is a Caesar III contest map. It was designed by goonsquad and was tested by Chris85 and Joshofet. In this series of contests the beta tester/s will be permitted to enter at Hard difficulty.

Have fun.

This contest will close at 11PM EST (US), on Monday, November13th, 2006. Please note the date!!!!

This contest has ended.
