After downloading, PC players should open the archive with a suitable

(by default C:\Sierra\Caesar3). Macintosh players, for whom the procedure
of installing contest files is a little more complicated, can find detailed
instructions here.
If you have any problems, please ask in the Forum. StoryWell, old friend the time has come. Now that you have finished your fine military career it is time to receive your rich reward. I recall the nights when we sat around the fire in distant lands talking about how we would rule our provinces if and when we got them. Little did we think I would be Caesar and you would be the most decorated general the Empire has ever known. Anyway I have found a new province for your pleasure in your retirement. Enjoy it. I know you enjoy working with wood and would like you to send me fine furniture every few years that I may have a link to you. Apparently there is no good clay for pottery there but I have commanded others to trade all you need. It's a fertile land that you will be able to farm to your hearts content. So you don't lose your touch! I will occasionally require armies from you to fight for Rome. I will come and inspect your fine handiwork in a few years or so. RulesGloriana will be tested by a small panel of judges and due to the nature of beauty contests, results are expected to be about 10 days after the closing date. This contest is open to all players and is to be played at normal difficulty level. There are no Completion Criteria so just enjoy making your city look good. It's entirely up to you how you build your city. You may use as much or as little of the map as you chose. A population limit of 99,999 is just to stop anyone winning before they have completed their masterpiece. You can save at any time on or before December of 21 AD and submit when you are ready. There is no penalty in submitting earlier than the end date. You may submit as many entries as you like but only the last entry you submit will be judged. Notes: To aid you in your planning there will be three triumphal arches available to win during the 20 years of the contest. Except for fishing wharves every other building is available to help you set out your city how you want it too look. Enjoy. While there are no CC's as such, the judges will let your city run for
6 months to a year to test its stability. They won't be all that picky
if small "glitches" do appear. The purpose is to discourage
"banzai" developments where the builder arranges for an upgrade
in housing status just before saving then the map immediately starts to
degrade. For example, giving one or more housing blocks wine to upgrade
them all to villas followed by the subsequent loss of services after a
couple of months due to the lack of workers. The Islands was designed by Caesar Clifford and beta tested by
Dillon Blake. This contest will close at 11PM EST (US), on Friday March 31st, 2006. Please note the date!!!! This contest has ended. General Rules | Caesar3 Game Features | Results Copyright © 2000-2010 CityBuildingContests.net.
