Contest 79: Turmoil in Tibet, An Emperor Military Contest

Welcome to our Emperor contest, Turmoil in Tibet. You must have the latest patch in order to play this contest. The link to the patch is on our rules page. Use the links below to download the starting positions:

After downloading, simply run the Zip extractor and follow the on-screen instructions. When prompted, choose to extract the files to the directory in which Emperor.exe is located (by default C:\Sierra\EmperorROTMK\).

Competitors are reminded that the normal CBC General Rules apply to this contest.

Please make sure you play the game from the start at the correct level of difficulty. You can select the difficulty from the game loading screen.

Story

Tibet, long known as "The Roof of the World," has been isolated for most of its 1000 year history.

The region has frequently had close, but often unhappy, ties with China. After the establishment of the Peoples Republic of China in 1949, the Chinese occupied Tibet in 1951.

In 1959 Tibet revolted against Chinese rule and the Dalai Lama fled to sanctuary in India where he set up a government in exile.

Your task is to hold the rebellious peoples resolve until re-enforcements can be negotiated, alas it is a long slow process of diplomacy and it is estimated that it will take 15 years to achieve this aim.

Rules

Completion criteria:

Survive the military onslaught for as long as you can, you may save at any time to have a valid entry.

Winning Criteria:

1. Longest survival time (save before the victory screen appears)
2. Number of surviving troops
3. Treasury

Designer's Notes

A rise in price for wood will occur each January to remind you to save your game.
