Contest 68: The Haves and the Have Nots

Welcome to Contest 68: The Haves and Have Nots. You must have the latest patch in order to play this contest. The links below to download the starting positions:

After downloading, simply unzip and when prompted, choose to extract the files to the directory in which Emperor.exe is located (by default C:\Sierra\EmperorROTMK\).

Competitors are reminded that the normal CBC General Rules apply to this contest.

Please make sure you play the game from the start at the correct level of difficulty. You can select the difficulty from the game loading screen.

Story

"Yao Li is an evil Emperor and rules the city of Lai with an iron hand. His subjects are denied even the most basic of amenaties and he himself demands only the best.

Your task is to build a Heavenly Compound for Yao Li and his family, but it must be done as swiftly as possible, ignore all other considerations, only the Emperors Heavenly Compound matters, but you must not get the city of Lai into debt, the Emperors wrath is not a sight you will forget ........or survive."

Rules

All entries must meet the following completion criteria at the time of submission:

Completion Criteria

• 25 People in the Heavenly Compound
• Treasury of 1, to ensure that the city is not in debt

All valid entries will then be separated according to the following winning criteria:

1. Speed (Fastest wins)
2. Treasury (Greatest treasury wins)

The second criterion is only applicable if the first criterion produces a tie.

Designer's Notes

Players can only make 1 request per city per month, and that they cannot request a good that the city does not produce.

A population goal of 99999999 is set to prevent the victory screen from comming up, this goal should be ignored.

A price rise for Jade occurs each January to remind you to save the game, jade does not play any other part in the contest.

You may have only ONE Heavenly Compound on the map and it should be full ie 25 people to fulfill the completion criteria.

The easy map players will start with a greater fund and the trade cities will be friendlier and will trade more goods.

There is no trade for Ceramics on the hard map.
